I often get asked… “What’s the best type of exercise I can do?”
Is it HIIT?
Weight Lifting?
Zumba?
CrossFit?
Running?
Biking?
Plyometrics?
The short answer is… “YES!”
Huh? It wasn’t a yes or no question silly…. yeah I know.
See, we get so caught up in what’s “the best, most effective” that we easily get lost and usually end up doing nothing.
Honestly, the best type of exercise is the type you will do – whatever it is!
If you hate weight lifting, but love running… Awesome!
If you love biking, but hate HIIT… Perfect!
If you hate all exercise, well then just getting off your bum once in a while is a good start.
The point is, just do something. You have muscles and ligaments and tendons and joints for a reason. Our bodies were made to move.
So even if it’s just going for a walk – THAT COUNTS!
How many steps? DO I really need 10,000 steps per day? The easy answer… NO!
If you are getting 100 steps a day (you must be bedridden…), then shoot for 101!
The point is to just do something…. something you enjoy! Don’t enjoy anything? Well then that might be something to explore… but for now…
Get out that leash and let your dog take you for a walk – it’s good for both of you!
